The room was extremely private and huge. It’s not a traditional hotel, but an apartment with amenities. It has everything you need in it. While it’s a little off the beaten path, that’s a benefit. It’s very quiet, comfortable and restful. Also, the Angolo cafe next door is EXQUISITE. You must visit for breakfast if you don’t get the Neon hotel breakfast (we didn’t).

I misread the check in instructions and didn’t realize I needed to check in at the Hotel Kanazawa by the train station. Make sure you don’t expect this to be a traditional hotel, there is minimal staff and no room service outside of breakfast. We expected that and loved it.

It’s spacious, with a living room, in a quiet suburb and the bedding is so comfortable.

You cannot leave your luggage on site after you checked out

Very well equipped suite. A lot of spare towels and other supplies were provided. The washing machine was a bonus. Good layout and very clean. Fairly well equipped kitchenette. 12 minute walk to train station.

No issues at all. Would stay here again.

Clean, quiet, nice location

The beds and pillow were hard, but that seems standard for Japan

The Neon Hotel is absolutely amazing. Look no further, book a room here! The hotel is new, modern, quiet and very clean. The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful boutique hotel. The beds were comfortable with soft sheets and comforter, and the towels were thick and fluffy. While daily cleaning was not provided, we were given enough towels to change them every day. We were also provided with yukatas, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo and laundry detergent. The rooms are very spacious, with a great kitchen and very large bathroom and shower room. Toilet is in a separate room. Front door and apartment access codes were handy, and parking (1,000Y/night) was available in a small reserved lot across the street. We loved the area, walking distance to the train station (yummy pastries and great food options), Onomichi market, the castle, gardens and various districts. This accommodation was a highlight of our stay in Kanazawa. I would rate it higher than a 10 if I could.

Location, size, amenities, the apartment layout was fabulous! The dryer in the shower room and washing machine really helped us out.

Check in is at different location (Hotel Kanazawa) which is not easy to find as link is in Japanese language. And check in time is limited to 21:00 (!)

Layout of the space was great. I liked the separation of living vs kitchen. Having the toilet and shower/sink separated was convenient with several people staying together. Extremely clean! Very spacious. Having a washing machine and drying line was great!The bath/shower room has a fantastic fan/heating system so you can easily dry your clothing overnight. One of my favourite hotels in Japan so far. Easy 8-10 min walk to train station.Easy walk to most attractions. Great cafe just a few doors down. Kitchen was well stocked with what you need for an easy meal.

Lovely japanese-style accommodations. Towels were replaced daily. Location was very good for seeing the Castle and Kenrokuen gardens.. wonderful coffee house, angolo, was right next door.

The room was cozy for 4 people.

We asked for the vegetarian breakfast they are like it's not possible. We have limited budget. But in Vegetarian we don't need eggs, meat and fish which I suppose is expensive then vegetarian options. It's easy to get and make vegetarian options. There were 9 guests. And they could have made it available on second day which they didn't bother.

I asked for veg breakfast and they didn't had it.

Location close to Kanazawa station. Self contained apartment. Very spacious. It was nice to have a fridge and cooking utensils to be able to make dinner for a few nights as we'd been eating out at restaurants for a while already. Great supermarket very close by too.

There was some confusion on my part, no fault of the hotel, about checking in. The Neon hotel itself is unmanned so you have to check-in at the Kanazawa hotel which is right next to the station. However the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and polite when I did get there.

It’s very spacious. Lots of room to place luggages for the whole family. My kids also love to sleep on the tatami area.

Beautiful apartment in a great position - central to all interesting sites/shopping etcWe wanted to live there! Lovely cafe with great coffee 20 seconds walk away, and plenty of dinner options close by.

The pillows were very firm, but that is just a cultural difference. Helpful to know though if you need a soft pillow.

Beautiful rooms! The staff were so helpful and lovely when there was a mistake with luggage forwarding out bags.

Interesting and delicious bento box breakfasts delivered to the room. The hotel was quiet, excellent location.

The room was an interesting combination of western and Japanese styles - a great introduction to Japanese style (tatami mats, shoji screens), but we found the bean bag chairs were not comfortable for an extended period.
